Lucy Owen, Co-Director of Issues Management, joined Pinney Associates in 1998 after completing her graduate work in the history of medicine at Oxford University.  She graduated from the University of Michigan with High Distinction and High Honors.

Ms. Owen's responsibilities have included the management of a wide variety of projects involving support for pharmaceutical companies' prescription medications (including controlled substances) and vaccines, consumer healthcare products and OTC switch programs, as well as non-profit public health advocacy organizations.  She has focused chiefly on providing strategic advice; assessing policy and scientific environments; drafting research-based documents including issues assessment and management documents, public health rationales, literature reviews, and strategic plans; and coordinating experts and expert panel meetings. 

Ms. Owen has advised clients on a wide array of public health issues including, among many others, women's reproductive health and family planning, cholesterol lowering and smoking cessation/tobacco control, pain management and treatment of infectious disease, vaccines for childhood diseases and bioterror agents.
