Lisa M. Zapawa, MD, MPH joined PinneyAssociates in 2003. As Co-Director of the Issues Management Team, Lisa's responsibilities include managing projects across a wide variety of topics, conducting literature review and analysis, developing reports, manuscripts, public health rationales, and overseeing integrated teams to provide strategic advice to clients on issues assessment and management.
Her research to date has focused on health promotion and disease prevention, with a primary emphasis on smoking, nicotine addiction and smoking cessation medications, women's and reproductive health issues, new product development, and OTC switch efforts.
After completing medical school at the University of Michigan in 1998, Lisa received her masters degree in public health in 2000, also from the University of Michigan. While in graduate school, she co-authored a chapter on clean indoor air restrictions in a 2001 book on tobacco control advocacy. Prior to joining PinneyAssociates, Lisa worked for three years as a senior consultant for the Oncology and Cardiovascular Roundtables at The Advisory Board Company in Washington, D.C.
