Experience
As CEO of Pinney Associates, Joe oversees client service and drives alignment of client needs with our expertise and resources. Since joining Pinney Associates in 1993, Joe has counseled clients in the United States, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East. He collaborates with respected researchers, policy experts, and nonprofit organizations in advancing policies and products aimed at reducing the death and disease caused by smoking conventional cigarettes.
A co-author of more than 40 articles, Joe has been published on topics including population health, drug-use behaviors, and simulation modeling, in such journals as Addiction; American Journal of Preventive Medicine; Archives of Internal Medicine; Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report; and Tobacco Control. He has presented at conferences that include Tobacco Manufacturers Association events; the Global Forum on Nicotine; and the Consumer Healthcare Product Association’s Annual Executive Conference, on topics that range from the impact of personal technologies on healthcare regulations to a strategic research agenda for e-cigarettes.
